It is from the linden family. It is a tall tree that blooms whitish-yellow colored, fragrant flowers between June and August. Although it is usually found naturally in forests, it is also grown in parks and gardens as an ornamental tree. The leaves are petiolate, pointed at the tip, toothed on the edges, heart-shaped at the base, green on the upper surface, whitish green on the underside and hairy. The flowers grow drooping, with at least three of them together. The flower cover is boat-shaped, yellowish-green in color. Its fruits are spherical and single-seeded. The linden tree grows from the sprout. It lasts a maximum of one year.
