Greater celandine
Celandine, whose Latin name is 'Herba chelidonii', is from the poppy family. Its homeland is Europe and North Anatolia. It grows in Marmara, Black Sea and Central Anatolia regions of our country. It prefers wet and shady places. It is a perennial herbaceous plant with beautiful yellow flowers in April and May.
From the celandine plant; Celandine tea, celandine tincture, celandine syrup and celandine ointment are produced. Dark beige wool dye is obtained in the textile industry.
