It is also called white black cumin in Europe because of its white flowers. After fertilization, cones begin to form. The cones have five divisions and have five antenna-like projections on them. Seeds are arranged from top to bottom in the chambers inside the cone. When the seeds are rubbed between the fingers, they give off a scent reminiscent of nutmeg, fennel, and anise. Its seeds are black in color and 2-3 cm in size with three surfaces. It is the most important species produced in Turkey. It is seen in Amasya, İçel, Gaziantep, Istanbul, Kocaeli, Kahramanmaraş and Siirt in the natural environment.
METHOD OF OBTAINING:
It was obtained by cold pressing method from seeds of black seed.
